At the very outset, I, on behalf of the Governing Body, and my colleagues welcome all my students and the guardians from the core of my heart. At present the members of this college believe in “Nobody is senior, nobody is junior but everybody is assigned to his/her duty. Long back in 1981, Gogamukh College came into existence with committed initiatives of the lovers of education of this locality. The fertile seed of higher education implanted then has branched into a fine young tree, its trunk getting stronger by the day as the leaves get greener and started with the distinct dream of bringing the Generation next education society. In its commitment to serve the personal development of the students as well as society, the college has been rendering its service with full dedication and sincerity since its inception. Being one of the higher educational institutions of Assam, the college has deep faith and dream in enabling the human resource of this region in particular and the nation in general as productive and responsible citizen and thereby contributes towards holistic development of the nation. Gogamukh College is a pioneering and capillary effort with a view to provide quality education to all the aspiring students oblige for being able to produce so many graduates, not only that certificate but also practical need based since its inception. The College has an instinct dream to create a centre of logistic development for young learners and impressionable mind. We are not a factory clearing out molted replicas, but we are shopping minds and creating fittest of survival. The college is going to impart learning in skill based courses. NEP,2020 prescribes a learning of skilled world. Hence Gogamukh College is ready to toil hard to welcome the syllabus and vision of NEP,2020 wholeheartedly. At present Gogamukh College is going to impart learning in six skilled based courses irrespective to regular syllabus of the university. I personally believe that the educational edifice is based on four pillars or there are four branches which directly affect the academic ambience of the students; Guardians, Teachers and Office of the Principal but we generally find that the participation of guardians in academic activities of students is poor. This college is trying to establish a strong bonding among all the stakeholders We have come a long way and there is long way to go hand in hand to reach the desired goal. I therefore, take this opportunity to extend warm welcome to all respected citizens of greater Gogamukh, Dhemaji to accompany us in our long journey of peace, progress and prosperity. It is a matter of pride to pen down the message for the annual College Magazine of Gogamukh College. My heart fills with immense pleasure as I perceive collective singularity the progress being made at Gogamukh College . The entire purpose of education is not to restrict itself to imparting bookish knowledge only but inculcate humanitarian values like wisdom, compassion, courage, humility, integrity, and reliability in a student. We, just like you, believe in holistic education for your child, encompassing- academics, co-curricular activities, sports education, and life skills learning. Our endeavor is to strike a balance between state-of-the-art infrastructure and an internationally acceptable education. I extend my warm wishes to the convener and the committee members on having successfully brought out the magazine in a very useful way and expect to continue this journey on the road to excellence.
It is a matter of pride that the college magazine committee has put in their best efforts to bring out the magazine for the academic year 2021-2022. The magazine, I feel, will mirror the creative and innovative ideas of both the teachers and the students. The articles published in it, I hope, will be of contemporary relevance.
